Apr 03, 2009

On the weekend of February 27th-29th members of the International Court System gathered in San Francisco to celebrate Coronation 2009.  On Saturday afternoon, San Francisco past Emperor Steve Rascher hosted the annual "Portland Party" in honor of the reigning Monarchs of Portland; Rose Emperor XXXV JL and Rose Empress L Krystal Lynn Benoit.

Court members from Portland and all parts east, west, north and south gathered at Marlena's to sell mardi gras beads, trinkets and bobbles to raise money for the Audria M. Edwards Scholarship Fund and the Pride of the Rose Scholarship Fund.  In the space of just 3 short hours, $3,732.00 was raised for the two Portland charities.

Peacock Productions, Inc. would like to thank all the titles holders who donated their time and money for this fast, furious and fun event!!  As a result, the Audria M. Edwards Scholarship Fund received a total of $1,866.00 which will be used to grant funding for post-secondary education of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender students and/or the children of GLBT parents.  Our special thanks to Steve Rascher for his many, many years of dedication to the A.M.E. Fund!!
